The Limits of High-Spec Marriages / ハイスペ婚にもほどがある 13人の偉人たちとの恋愛リアリティーショー

Series Description – Titan

“Love Island meets Record of Ragnarok” A reality dating show like no other!

Thirteen geniuses, impossible standards, and love pushed to the limit in a chaotic romantic showdown blending the drama of The Bachelor with the wild twists of manga comedy.

Maddie’s comments

This series sounds like it’s going to be more on the crazy side, but I’m absolutely here for it! It brings together 13 people at the top of their own fields and attempts to forge the ultimate power couple. I get the feeling that it will focus more on comedy than romance, but I’m actually okay with that! So long as Mr. Red-head on the cover gets ample time on the page, that is.

Kuruno Loves the Occult! / 黒乃さんはオカルトが好き！

Series Description – Titan

A terrified occult obsessive drags a reluctant classmate into haunted locations and supernatural mysteries in this hilarious, heartwarming horror adventure.

Maddie’s comments

This series combines my love for urban legends and romance, so of course I’ll be picking it up! It follows a high school girl who despite being obsessed with the occult, is absolutely terrified of it. So, she teams up with a boy to gather courage and sets off to explore her spooky hobby.

I can’t tell exactly how scary it’s going to get as it’s also categorized as a rom-com, but I’m excited to find out! It comes endorsed by horror legend Junji Ito, so my expectations are very high.

Dominating at the Academy of Returned Heroes / 最凶の魔王に鍛えられた勇者、異世界帰還者たちの学園で無双する

Series Description – Titan

An overpowered returner shatters the elite hero academy system, explosive battles, ruthless rivalries, and unstoppable strength collide in a high-octane isekai power fantasy.

After surviving a brutal otherworldly war and training under an unimaginably powerful demon king, a former hero returns to Earth forever changed.

Maddie’s comments

This series is described as being an action heavy isekai series. It focuses on a young man who quickly surpasses his peers in a battle school-like environment. As I don’t have a lot of experience with this genre, I don’t have any guesses as to how the story will play out. That’s just something I have to look forward to!

Revenge Of The Rock ‘N’ Roll Sisters / まりあず～Revenge of Rock’n’Roll Sisters～

Series Description – Titan

Rock ’n’ Roll never grows old!

A single mother chasing her abandoned musical dream meets a singer with the perfect voice, this manga is the story of their new band’s quest for stardom.

Maddie’s comments

This is another genre that I’m not all that familiar with, but the premise sounds so lovely to me! While a manga about music, it focuses on themes of adult female friendships and rediscovering your passions.

Mountain God’s Personal Manga Artist / 山神様のお抱え漫画家

Series Description – Titan

When deadlines loom and inspiration runs dry, the last thing a struggling manga artist expects is divine intervention.

A struggling artist meets a mountain god in this heartwarming supernatural tale where creativity, folklore, and quiet humour intertwine in a beautifully reflective story about inspiration and unexpected companionship.

Maddie’s comments

I tend to enjoy manga about creating artwork, so I’m always excited to read a new series that brings a new perspective! While the only comedy based mangaka focused series I’ve read so far is Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, I’m fairly certain it’s a combination I’m prone to enjoying.
