Here are all of the shoujo manga coming out in September that I think are worth checking out! There are new volumes from Seven Seas, Yen Press, and Viz Media! There may be more out there not yet on my radar (as I mostly keep track of the Japanese physicals), but here is everything that I’ve seen for this month!
Seven Seas
Choking on Love, Volume 3

You can preorder volume 3 from Amazon here!
I’ve already read the first 5 volumes of this series (in Japanese), and volume 6 is currently on its way to me! I can confidently say that fans of the first volume will absolutely love volume 3.
This is a romance, university manga, released on September 2nd, 2025. Here is a little snippet from Seven Seas’ website about volume three:
Hibari has finally admitted she’s in love with Gaku, and these two unlikely lovebirds are officially dating! Unaccustomed to the whirlwind lifestyle of a free-spirited guy like Gaku, Hibari does her best to keep her head above water in both her relationship and her classes. But things get more complicated when she learns the true identity of a popular rival musician is none other than her childhood friend, Rihito! And it looks like he’s not interested in staying in the friendzone!

Yen Press
If the Villainess and Villain Met and Fell in Love, Volume 4

You can pre-order volume 4 from Amazon here!
This is one series that I actually have been reading in English! I’ve been borrowing it from the library, so I’ve been reading it a little bit more slowly than I’d like, but it’s such a sweet story! I’ve been enjoying it so much that I’m hoping to also start reading the light novels.
This is a romantasy manga, set to be released on September 23rd, 2025. Here is a little snippet from Yen Press’ website about volume four:
Yuri never mentioned having a younger brother, but a wandering Brigitte seems to have found him all the same. The boy certainly has Yuri’s sharp tongue. And while his words cut deep, they offer Brigitte something she never thought possible—a way to speak with her contracted spirit! Brigitte wants nothing more than to finally communicate with hers, but the path there lies beyond the fire she’s cowered from since that fateful day years ago. Does Brigitte have the strength to conquer her fear and walk through the flames to finally hear the voice of her very own spirit…?
Stomp, Kick, Love, Volume 3

You can pre-order volume 3 from Amazon here!
This is another series that I’ve been reading quickly in Japanese. Stomp, Kick, Love is in my top 3 all-time favourite toxic romances, so naturally, I think everyone should read it!
This is a working adult romance manga, set to be released on September 23th, 2025. Here is a little snippet from Yen Press’ website about volume three:
Easy, breezy, beautiful—Akira. That’s how Kaho’s always seen him anyway. A pretty face to look at, but not someone you’d ever date or have a serious relationship with. Except, now that he’s avoiding her and putting up walls, she’s starting to realize…she really misses him. After all, he’s the one person she can really be herself around, the one person who won’t judge her, the one person who doesn’t expect anything from her. Still, he’s clearly got commitment issues piled a mile high, so what’s a girl to do when a guy can’t get his head on straight…?!

Viz Media
Wolf Girl and Black Prince – Volume 15

You can purchase volume 15 from Amazon here!
This series is actually a guilty pleasure of mine. Although it’s a little bit problematic, it’s a really fun read! I loved the anime so much when I was younger, and I also really enjoyed watching the live action when it came out.
This is a dramatic romance manga, released on September 2nd, 2025. Here is a little snippet from Viz Media’s website about volume 15:
After agonizing over what to do after graduation, Erika has finally found her calling…but will she have to choose between her passion for art and her passion for Kyoya? Meanwhile, the class says farewell to high school with a glittering prom, and that means getting the guys into suits!
Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, Volume 7

You can order volume seven from Amazon here!
While I do believe the sequel isn’t quite as good as the original, I still am really enjoying this series! I’m reading it a little bit slower than a lot of the other series on my TBR, but I still highly recommend it. If you were a fan of Inuyasha (either the manga or the anime), I highly recommend giving the sequel a look.
This is a fantasy, romance manga, released on September 9th, 2025. Here is a little snippet from Viz Media’s website about volume seven:
Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha continue their westward journey by venturing toward Hakata, where Zero awaits them. However, a horde of undead soldiers have swamped the port of Hakata. Without hesitation, the three girls jump into the fray and carve a path to Zero’s ship—where they aim to defeat her once and for all.
