A cute slice of life manga about the “friendship” between an elf and a vampire, and their combined efforts to make the most of their high school days.

What happens in chapter one?
After spending the first few hundred years of her life lounging about, Mon finally takes the advice of a fellow magical being and enrols in school.
In this manga universe, magical beings are becoming more and more common… but it doesn’t exactly mean they blend in all that much either. Mon’s classmates are all very excited when they realize her ears wag like a dog, and Mon, in turn is excited to see that the very vampire who told her to enrol in school is in her class.
Being a high school student isn’t all that easy, as though Mon followed the advice of a fashion magazine, her classmates refer to her style as retro. Her vampire friend agrees with her concerns, adding on that it’s very difficult to stay up to date on human fashion. The two of them end up agreeing to work together to have a better time at school.
My thoughts about this volume
I thought this was a very sweet volume! I love that it follows the friendship between two girls trying to figure out how to fit in at school. While both of them are there by their own choice, and are many hundreds of years older than the rest of the students, they are just as awkward as any other teenager.
I’m excited to learn more about the different types of magical beings that exist in this world!
I also hope that this will continue to be a calm, slice of life series.
What I liked most about this volume
❤️ Both girls clearly struggling to adjust to time like humans do – being hundreds of years old, it makes sense that they can’t stay totally up to date with the trends.
🧡 The vampire being literally allergic to religious symbols was an incredibly funny choice to make, and I fully support it.
💛 Friendship-centric stories!! We need more of these!
