If you’re a fan of shoujo manga and toxic romances, this is a title that should absolutely be on your radar.

Crashout Schoolgirl and Degen Teacher, or Haijin Kyoshi to Tsuiraku JK, is a dark comedy series written by Sora. If you’re unfamiliar with Sora’s work, they specialize in dark comedy series that feature fascinating relationships. One of their other translated works is A Reincarnated Witch Spells Doom, a dark comedy about a girl who reincarnates as a witch who can only cast violent spells.

While it has only been picked up digitally by Comikey for now, I see this as a huge win for shoujo manga fans. Crashout Schoolgirl and Degen Teacher is complete in Japanese with a whopping 20 volumes, so some fans may feel more comfortable going the digital route. If you’re a physical collector like me, I recommend requesting Yen Press to pick up the physical license, as they already own the rights to another of Sora’s works!
