TL;DR rating
While I did like this introduction, it actually stressed me out more than I thought it would. I was happy with how the chapter ended, so I’ll be continuing!

What’s this series about? (chapter one spoilers)
Asa is a god of love who doesn’t really care all that much about matchmaking. She only does the job at her mother’s request, and only works to fulfill her exact quota of new couples made before returning to the godly realm.
Creating a match is incredibly simple for a god of love: all she has to do is find someone on the verge of confessing to another and shoot an arrow right into the heart of the confess-ee. Just like that, a happy new couple is born.
As the day is coming to an end, she spots who would be her very last couple of the day. The boy in the couple is incredibly good-looking, even to a god’s standards. So after a little bit of appreciation for his looks, she shoots her arrow through his heart. Thinking she just completed a job well done she turns to fly away, when the boy surprisingly turns down the confession—her arrow didn’t work. To make matters worse, the boy is somehow able to see Asa—something that no human should be able to do.
The boy is rather abrasive the girl that confessed to him walked away, and he accuses Asa of being a stalker. When she explains that she’s a god of love, and acusess him back of being a supernatural being, he takes her arrow from her, and stabs her through the heart. She then passes out, as anyone would in such a scenario, and wakes up in a human high school, in a human body—what happened to her!?
My thoughts on this volume (Spoilers!)
I actually didn’t enjoy this one as much as I thought I would at the start, but I ended up really enjoying it towards the end—I’ll be reading on!
The reason I was having some difficulties with this one is the male lead—I don’t like him! He just rips Asa’s arrow out of her hand and stabs her! Who does that!? Even had she been a stalker, again, who just stabs someone!?
When she’s clearly going through a mental breakdown—she has no way to contact her mom, she lost her wings and her arrows, and she has nowhere to live on earth—he just stands there and nonchalantly tells her to calm down! When he’s the reason she’s in this situation to begin with! Had I been Asa I would have pushed him off the school roof!
My dislike for him mainly came to be from my sympathy for Asa, so when her situation became a little better I was able to tolerate him more. Watching Asa come to terms with her situation and try to enact a plan to return home was very reassuring for my stressed out heart. I think she’ll be able to get home before too long!
I was also able to get behind the “love is war” type relationship that developed between Asa and her mystery target. While neither of them know anything about love, they have two wildly different outlooks on life. They also have different motivations, and they react very differently to love-related situations. So, when the first “battle” happened, it was a lot of fun! I’m happy to say that I’m actually rather excited to follow along and see what Asa does next.
