Maddies Manga

Kodansha and Tokyopop recently announced that they will be publishing some new shoujo and josei manga titles! As always, I judge what demographic a series is by how cmao organizes them. Let’s take a look at all the new upcoming manga.

Please note that I only include manga rated PG 16 and under in these posts.

Kodansha

• Written by: Miko Senri

• Other series by this author: The Demon King is Way Too Overprotective

• Have I read it yet?: Yes, but I haven’t completed the series. I enjoyed it enough to buy digitals, and will continue reading eventually! It’s not as ~romantic~ as their other series, but it’s still a fun read.

• Premise: This is a romance fantasy series, about a girl who adores cats, and her classmate who secretly is able to transform into a cat.

This series has already been available to read digitally for a while now, but Kodansha is officially adding it to their Kodansha Print Club!

• Other series by this author: Searching for My Perfect Brother

• Have I read it yet?: No, but I have been wanting to!

• Premise: This is a black comedy series, about a girl who needs to charm a hitman, or else she may meet an untimely end.

This series has already been available to read digitally for a while now, but Kodansha is officially adding it to their Kodansha Print Club!

• Written by: Natsuwo Ichikawa

• Other series by this author: Mugi no Hana; Yuurei to Boku; Minus Ondo no Serenade

• Have I read it yet?: No, I have never heard of this title.

• Premise: This is a historical drama, exploring a father-daughter relationship.

There is both a manga and light novel for this series, but it looks like they’re only picking up the manga for now.

• Premise: This is a fantasy series, following a young child who was born into a family with grandiose magical powers. Sadly, this child was born with none of the powers his family is so famous for.
