It’s time for our daily Japanese vocabulary! It’s important to study a little bit every day, so let’s work hard to remember one new word every single day.
Today’s word is… yappari!
~ Please remember that I use a mix of formal and casual Japanese in these posts! I use the type of language often found in shoujo manga~

What does yappari mean?
Yappari is an adverb that can be translated into English as: as expected, just as one thought.
The Kanji, it’s meaning, and it’s reading in hiragana
While yappari is almost exclusively written in hiragana, we can use kanji to write it like this: ็ขใฃๅผตใ.
We can write “yappari” using hiragana like this: ใใฃใฑใ. This is how it’s typically written.
Let’s try using ใใฃใฑใใปyappari in a sentence!
Example 1
English: Just as I had thought, if it’s not you it’s no good.
Romaji only: Yappari, kimi janai to dame nan da.
Hiragana only: ใใฃใฑใใใใฟใใใใชใใใจใใ ใใใชใใใ ใ
Final: ใใฃใฑใใๅใใใชใใจใใกใชใใ ใ
Example 2
English: As expected, they already have a girlfriend…
Romaji only: Yappari, mou kanojo ga irunda…
