This is a Maddie-made, just-for-fun quiz that I made! One day you find yourself transported into the Karada Sagashi universe… How long will you last out here? Or, will you be the final girl (or boy)?
Check out my summary of part one of Karada Sagashi here!
How to play:
There will be four endings that you can get! Please keep track of which answer you agree with the most, (for example, if you get 1 A, and 2 B’s, then B will be the letter that you agreed with the most). The letter that you agreed with the most will lead you to your result!
Please note: there are 3 scenarios, but none of them are connected. They all take place during the same night, but your answer from scenario 1 will not lead into scenario 2.
Let’s start!
The scenario
You wake up and begin getting ready for school. It’s your first day at your new school, and though you’re rather nervous, you are able to finish getting ready and arrive on campus on time. You grab your schedule from the office, and make your way to your first class with time to spare.
You find yourself sitting next to a few girls who quickly take you under their wing, and you find your first-day jitters melting away. They introduce you to the rest of their friend group, minus one – they keep mentioning that Haruka is uncharacteristically late. As you’ve only just met everyone, you’re a bit confused about why one girl being a bit late is causing such a stir, but you choose to stay silent.
During lunch, you notice one of your new friends looking a little bit confused, but when you ask her if she’s okay, she assures you that she is. You take her at her word, and excuse yourself to the washroom. As you are making your way to the hand dryer after washing your hands, a pretty girl with long black hair and rather large eyes stands in between you and the dryer. Before you can ask her to move she begins talking.
“Hey… Can you find my body?”
You decide that you really don’t want to be involved in any weirdness on your first day, so you ignore the strange request, wipe your hands on your pants, and head back to the cafeteria. After meeting up with your new friends, you begin to tell them about the strange girl you met in the washroom, thinking it would be a kind of funny story. Rather than laugh, though, they all look at each other with unreadable expressions. After you all finish eating, they drag you to the school rooftop to talk. Upon your arrival, you notice that there are a few more of your classmates up there waiting for you.
They all begin talking about Haruka and her strange request – it turns out that the girl who everyone was making a fuss over that morning, was the very girl who made that weird request in the washroom. Not only that, she seems to have made the same request to six of your other classmates. Just as everyone’s talking about why she would do that, you begin to get a little bit creeped out. If it was a prank, wouldn’t her friends be able to at least find her afterwards to talk to her about it? After listening to everyone’s stories, it sounds like she appeared, made her strange request, and disappeared.
You decide this is just a little bit too much for your first day of school, and you go home early. Worried about you, your three new friends offer to walk you home, but you turn them down. You promise to go to the arcade together after school the following day, and head home.
Exhausted from everything that happened, you take a quick shower and hop into bed. You fall asleep rather quickly – you didn’t even have a chance to plug in your phone.
You wake up in a cold sweat at 12:01 am. No… You wake up literally cold and wet at 12:01 am. Did you sleepwalk outside? You look at your surroundings, and find yourself in front of your new school’s main building. And you’re not alone – your new friends, plus those three boys that you met with on the school roof the previous day are all there with you.
You barely have time to fully wake up before the doors to the school mysteriously open, and you all decide to enter.
Scenario 1
As you enter the school together, you are all soon hushed by the sound of the intercom turning on. A mysterious voice begins making an announcement.
“The red person has been spotted in the main building’s entrance. Please take care.”
You have nothing but questions at this point, but the look of sheer terror on one of your classmates’ face stops you from being able to voice anything. You follow her eye line, and in the shadows, you can make out a little girl holding a teddy bear in one hand, and a knife in the other. She takes one step forward, and you can see that she’s covered head to toe in blood.
Your classmates scatter at the sight of her. You need to decide if you’re tagging along with someone, or if you’re safest on your own, and you need to decide now.
A) “Why is everyone running away from a child?” you think to yourself. Even with a knife, you don’t think that she’s necessarily threatening. Rather than run, you think it’s a better idea to hop on top of the shoe lockers that lie between you and the girl. More than likely, she’s going to prefer chasing your fleeing classmates than trying to climb on top of the lockers to get to you, right?
B) Not wanting to stick around and see what happens, you tail off after your new friends. When they split up at a corner, you follow the one who would have been left alone had you not been there. After all, you’re all safer in numbers, right?
C) You decide that your safest bet is to stick with the boy who seemed to know the school layout the best. You also recall him talking about some sort of urban legend that mentioned other students ending up in the exact scenario that you are all currently in. There’s power in knowledge after all, right?
D) You decide that you would feel the most safe running away with the boys who are most likely able to protect you. While you really like your new friends, you don’t think any of you are a match for a fistfight against a child with a knife. After all, literal power is power, right?
Question 2
You hear the sound of the intercom turning on, and the announcement is made:
“The red person has been spotted in the back garden. Please take care.”
You have never been so happy that you chose to not go outside in your life. You’re not sure how long it will be until they return to the building, so you’d better make the most of your time. You understand that you are stuck on campus until you find all of the parts of Haruka’s body – whatever that means. But… where would someone hide body parts?
A) You literally saw Haruka the previous day, and unless you’re mistaken, she had all of her body parts. You’re sure there’s a rational reason for everything that’s happening, and decide that you’re not going to play along. Rather than try and play manhunt with a knife-holding child, you make your way to the entrance.
B) More than likely, the body parts are hidden in plain sight, you think to yourself. So, you decide to start searching the classrooms one by one. While this does take a while, you feel a little bit reassured that you are doing your part in the search. You steal a piece of paper from one of the cabinets, and begin writing down all of the classes that you have searched through.
C) You decide that they are most likely hidden somewhere that someone wouldn’t think to check, and you start racking your brain. You begin thinking of that one scene, and also that one other scene in the Saw movies, where several important items were hidden in bathroom furniture for some reason. If you’re in a real-life horror movie, you had better reference horror movies when planning out your moves, right? So, you head to the nearest washroom to begin your search.
D) You’ve been in this school for what, a total of 4 hours at this point? And now you’re expected to search it thoroughly? There’s absolutely no way you could do this on your own, so you decide to defer to one of the others stuck here with you. After all, they know the school better than you, don’t they?
Question 3
You are arriving at the library when you hear the intercom announce:
“The red person has been spotted in the library. Please take care.”
There’s no time to go somewhere else, as the child would likely spot you leaving from the library windows. But.. you can’t exactly enter the library either. What do you do?
A) “Why would I walk directly into a room where there’s a child that wants to kill me?” you think to yourself. You peek into the library but don’t see a trace of anyone. You wonder if the warning has a time lag, and you take the opportunity to run into the nearest classroom.
B) You don’t spare a moment to think. As soon as you hear the announcement, you grab the hand of the person closest to you and break out into a sprint. While you’re not sure if the child is following you or not, you’re not risking slowing down to check until you’re far from the library.
C) You peek into the library doors, and see no one. Not wanting to risk being spotted, you decide to quickly climb up one of the bookcases, and lie at the top. You stay as still as you can, for as long as you can. You don’t dare peek down and check, as you’re afraid you may gasp if you see the child looking around for you. You decide that you’ll only move again once the next spotted announcement has been made.
D) You see one of your classmates rush into the library, so you decide to follow them. Perhaps they have a plan? Either way, you believe in safety in numbers. While you may not be all that helpful, you want to help out any way you can. You prepare yourself to potentially have to help in a fight.
The Results..!
If you picked mostly A‘s… You were the first to die.
Rather than trust your fear, you decided to question your newfound environment. When someone comes at you with a knife, a reasonable person would either fight back, or run away. Not you though. You believe that horror logic doesn’t apply to you, and you ultimately pay the price for it.
At least you were a lesson for the remainder of your classmates.
If you picked mostly B‘s… You lasted for quite a while, but ultimately died while trying to save your friend.
There’s safety in numbers – you should never stray from the group. Even when unable to think, you find yourself subconsciously checking on those stuck here with you. When you and a classmate are running away from the knife-wielding child, you end up pushing them ahead of you, ultimately sacrificing yourself for them. You were hoping for at least one of you to survive – hopefully your death will help lead to their survival.
If you picked mostly C‘s… You were the very last to die, only because you couldn’t find any body parts.
When in a horror movie-like situation, the only logical thing to do is act how a horror movie character would act. You try to act rationally whenever possible, and you know that putting up a fight would probably be fruitless. Your quick thinking and careful nature have you lasting quite a bit longer than the rest of your classmates, but even the smartest characters can lose in an unfair fight.
If you picked mostly D‘s… You were betrayed by one of your classmates and died after being pushed.
Maybe trying to rely on people you’ve known for less than one day wasn’t the smartest thing you’ve ever done. While you weren’t exactly trying to be dead weight, realistically, what were you supposed to do in this situation? You’re not exactly the fighting type, and you don’t know the layout of the school. Your classmate soon decides that you actually may have a use – as bait. When the red person is announced to be in the building you were searching, you all begin to run. But when you pass by a staircase, you feel a shove, and next thing you know, you’re falling down a staircase. Once you hit the bottom, you find yourself looking up at the red person, smiling down at you.
So you didn’t survive the first day.. there’s always tomorrow.
