Do I recommend this manga? Yes, but only to fans of high school romance stories. If you’re looking for something a little more mature, you’ll be disappointed with this one.

This series currently has 12 volumes out in Japanese, with volume 13 coming out August 25th.
There are currently 3 volumes out in English, with volume 4 coming out October 28th.
Impressions and thoughts
After reading volume 1, I was very excited to continue reading on! While I don’t absolutely love the female lead, I do enjoy the silliness of the male lead’s tsundere personality. At least… I did.
In this volume, I feel like his two-sided personality really ramps up for the worse unfortunately. I found him to overreact to many scenarios, and then would calm down surprisingly quickly – I just know I would not be able to deal with him if he was a real person.
While I am not a ban fan of the ML, I’m also not a big fan of the FL. I find both of them to be rather immature, and in this aspect I think they’re perfect for each other.
I did enjoy learning more about Kurose’s friends, and I especially liked that they were so quick to invite Mugi into their friend group. I am just a little bit confused with their relationship with Kurose. They claim to be good friends, however sometimes their actions paint a different story. I will say though, that their reconciling without so much as a word after fighting felt very realistic for two men with difficulties expressing themselves.
All in all I did enjoy this volume, however it’s not my favourite by any means. I found just about every character to be rather one-note, and everything felt a little cartoonish. I will be continuing this series, however it won’t be the next thing I read.
My Favourites
- Mugi getting a job at the knight cafe – I hope this means that she can find herself a nice new boyfriend (or at least a friend).
- Kurose’s friends taking Mugi in – I found this to be very sweet! I was hoping that this would help Mugi make some new friends, but I feel like they’ll all stay as just Kurose’s friends.
My Least-Favourites
- Mugi’s “friend” stalking her and Kurose – I just found this to be weird. I’m not sure if it was meant to be funny, however I just found it to be strange and a bit too out there.
