Impressions and thoughts

I actually originally added this series to my cart because I thought the girl on the cover resembled Futaba from Futarijime Romantic, however once I started reading, she became entirely her own character in my eyes.

This story started strong, just got stronger throughout, and ended strong. This was a rather rare one for me, as I was genuinely entertained from the first to last page, even though what romance was there, was very subtle.

I think that the main reason that this story was do captivating to me was all of the unique characters. They all have both unique designs and personalities, and none of them feel one-note (at least none of the ones that were predominantly featured in this volume). I especially enjoyed the female lead’s character, as while she does indeed have many flaws, she has just as many good qualities. She’s the type of main character that I want to root for!

My Favourites

💛 The king – at first I found him to be a bit of an overly-pushy, slightly cartoonish character, but I very quickly grew to be very fond of him.

💚 The rivalry – as this is a reverse harem series, of course there has to be some rivalry amongst the competition!

💙 Making female friends – I love that the king (and the other boys too) are working so hard to support the FL in her efforts to make friends.

❤️ A realistic female lead – I really love that our FL is given flaws! She feels like a very realistic teenager struggling with her communication skills.
