Impressions and thoughts
I actually think I enjoyed volume two even more than volume one! Now that all of the characters and their relationships have been introduced in volume one, volume two is able to show the very slow progression of Takasugi and Tsutsumi’s relationship.
Honestly, while I did really enjoy this volume, I do wish that there was a tiny bit more romance. I’m not complaining, as their relationship does feel incredibly realistic, and Takasugi all but confesses his feelings for Tsutsumi… But I just wish there was a little something more.
When Takasugi reveals his reason for not (yet) confessings to Tsutsumi though… I really can’t complain that much. He’s so respectful of her that he’s going to the perfect boyfriend whenever he does decide to confess (hopefully in the next volume?)
What’s it about?
This volume takes us out of their general workday, and shows us more insight into our main couples lives! First, we learn that Takasugi has won a special award… but he doesn’t seem to care all that much. Before he switched to this team, we learn that he has actually won this award before! Having no one to express his excitement to, and having none of his coworkers seem to really care, he swallowed his feelings and decided that it was a rather meaningless award.
Now though, Tsutsumi takes it upon herself to not only congratulate him, but to also volunteer at the ceremony so that she can watch him accept the award. Takasugi reflects on how much better his life is now that Tsutsumi is in it, and it’s a rather heartfelt moment.
Their work team then goes on a camping trip, where they get to do all sorts of fun activities! From drinking around the campire, to roasting marshmallows, to lighting sparklers… we get to see both main characters and their coworkers as well have a lot of fun! While we do get a chance to see a little bit more of the coworkers during this trip, they’re used as a way to further progress Takasugi and Tsutsumi’s relationship.

After the camping trip, Tsutsumi’s mom ends up coming to visit! The two ended up going to the mall… where they run into Takasugi and his mom! In the most random turn of events ever! The two moms hit it off right away, and leave Takasugi and Tsutsumi on their own.
So, the two end up going on a little mall date while their moms go shopping. They go see a movie, and they also go for sweets at a cafe! Afterwords, they meet back up with their moms where Takasugi’s mom reveals that she bought a dress for Tsutsumi!

My Favourites
- Takasugi kept trying to find excuses to pat Tsutsumi on the head and it was very cute.
- Learning about their first time meeting was very sweet!
- Takasugi’s jealousy – while it was a little bit subtle, it was definitely there.
My Least-Favourites
- I would like a tiny bit more romance!
