While I do still love a good high school / university romance, there’s just something so unique about a workplace romance! I feel like having the characters be slightly older, and slightly less restricted by rules, leads to more opportunities for interesting plotlines!
**Not all of the romances in this post take place in the character’s workplace, but all romances are between people in the workforce**
So, let’s take a look at three different workplace romance manga that I think are worth a read! All three are incredibly different, but all are exceptional.

Stomp, Kick, Love / 踏んだり、蹴ったり、愛したり

Some info about this manga
- This is a toxic romance story.
- Both have their own lucrative jobs.
- She wants a serious relationship, he’s a playboy.
- He’s canonically extremely attractive.
A quick recap
Every day after work, Kaho goes to a bar to relax with a drink. She claims this is her only real enjoyment in life – drinking at the small intimate bar, with her friend Akira.
Kaho and Akira have a flirty relationship, but it doesn’t go past that. While Kaho admits Akira does have a nice face, he’s a known womanizer, smokes, and drinks too much, among other things. When Akira offers to walk Kaho home after drinking one night, however, their relationship dynamics changes completely…..

Kingyoyasan no Karisome Fuufu / 金魚屋さんのかりそめ夫婦

Some info about this manga
- Contractual couple that slowly grow to have actual feelings for each other.
- He’s aloof, she’s emotional.
- He inherited a fish store, she left her family behind to become an author.

The Ice Guy and the Cool Girl / 氷属性男子とクールな同僚女子

Some info about this manga
- Very light fantasy office romance.
- He conjures snow whenever flustered, and he is easily flustered.
- She is very cool, and not outwardly emotional.
- Very slow burn
A quick recap
Himuro, our male lead of this manga, is the descendant of a snow spirit. While there aren’t all that many people like him around the city; it seems like people with fantastical abilities are common enough in this mangaverse that people don’t pay much mind to it.
Himuro seems to have a difficult time controlling his powers, and his emotions tend to set them off. When he really enjoys something, he tends to conjure a blizzard. So, although he loves flowers, and animals, he has to keep his distance as to not freeze them…
