I kept seeing previews of this manga on my X feed, and it grabbed my attention almost instantly! I mean, it’s a combination of my two favourite genres: horror and romance. On top of that, it’s a supernatural horror, my favourite type of horror story! It’s like this was made just for me!

I recently discovered this author, and I’ve been really enjoying their different works so far! They seem to enjoy writing horror and romance stories, so I’m looking forward to continue reading what they put out!

First Impressions and thoughts
I really enjoyed this introductory chapter! I think it did a very good job of setting up the overall horror aspect, and I found myself wanting to read on to learn exactly why out female lead has been haunted for so long.
I enjoyed the male leads introduction, and I think he’s going to be a very interesting character. He’s clearly more interested in learning about the occult that anything else, so I’m interested in seeing how it’s going to end up being a romantic horror story.
As of right now, I felt a more “horror mystery” vibe rather than a “horror romance” story, however I have only read the first chapter! Additionally, I won’t be mad if this story has more upfront horror vibes while the romance takes a backseat. I’m interested in seeing how the author mixes the two genres up.
What’s it about?
15 years ago, Inukai woke up to the sight of a woman with long black hair hanging over her bed. Ever since this incident, she has unfortunately been able to see things that most people cannot – ghosts.
Now, while she’s been trying her best to live a peaceful life as a university student, her affinity for ghosts has been causing her many problems. On top of that, that one ghost that she saw all those years ago has seemed to become very attached to her. It reappeared in her life one morning, seemingly with no intention to let her go now that she’s found her again.
After this scare, she consults with her professor, who takes it upon himself to introduce her to someone he thinks can help: Ima Kagura. Kagura is something of an occult fanatic, with all of the motivation in the world to help Inukai out of her predicament.
After one attempt to help her resulted in her apartment all but burning down though, they had to make a drastic change in their plans. Kagura makes the executive decision to move Inukai into his place, just until he can better figure out how to help her. But… to Inukai, Kagura is an incredibly dubious man with questionable motives…
My Favourites
- The combination of horror and comedy – typically, I really dislike horror comedies, however I did enjoy this chapter!
- The art style – especially when it comes to the ghosts.
- The mystery – I’m very excited to continue reading on.
My Least-Favourites
- If I had to say, I would ask for a little bit more romance, however I’m sure it’s to come.

- A university student.
- Has an affinity for ghosts for reasons unknown.
- Is very resourceful as a result of being haunted most of her life.
Ima Kagura
- Is really interested in the occult.
- Collects mysterious items related to the occult.
- Canonically handsome.

Do I personally like the art? – I enjoy how the ghosts are drawn!

Is the artstyle unique? – I think so – I like the obvious difference in the art style between the humans and the ghosts.

Is there a lot of lore? – There is a little, but hopefully there is more to come as the series goes on.

Would I re-read it? – No – I want to continue reading on.
Would I add it to my physical collection? – I’m excited to continue reading online.
