First Impressions
Watarase is the type of male lead that I absolutely love in manga form, and that I feel like I would also love in real life. Which is actually pretty rare for me!
I find him to be a very mysterious character, which leads me to wanting to continue reading on and learn more. I also am enjoying Nonoka’s character so far, however I really don’t think we’ve been shown enough of her. I’m still finding it a little bit difficult to understand exactly who she is a character, besides her motivation of wanting love. And while I do normally complain about such characters, later on in the chapter we are shown her pure enthusiasm about the hard work that Watarase puts in, allowing me to see her in a slightly different light. There is more to her! I know there is!
My Favourites
- The male lead’s outgoing personality
- The atmosphere of “chase your dreams!”
- The beautiful art
- The FL and ML’s relationship
My Least-Favourites
- Nothing!
The Characters
Nonoka

- Innocent baby
Character traits
Nonoka has lived her life in a very small village up in Hokkaido. Because of this, while she has had contact with boys, they’ve all been like family to her. And so now that she’s in Tokyo, she’s pretty clearly inexperienced when it comes to city boys.
While her wanting love was a driving factor for her moving to Tokyo, there’s more than that to her! Nonoka absolutely loves her brother, and is also clearly working to better herself as a person as well.
Watarase

- Sneaky but pretty boy
Character traits
Watarase is a prodigy when it comes to his specialty of stand-up comedy. Known as a womanizer, he is incredibly comfortable with basically every woman he runs into, including Nonoka.
He’s still a man of many mysteries, and it’s clear that not every fact we’ve learnt about him is truthful so far.
Quick Story Checks!
Are there any trigger warnings?
- Slight age gap relationship
