Toxic male lead alert!! While I was a little bit iffy on whether I was actually enjoying this manga or not, the very end of this chapter confirmed that yes! I like this! There are a lot of moving parts in this story, and I feel like it’s just going to get more toxic as it goes on.
If you like a good messy romance, get ready.~

A quick recap of the remainder of chapter 1
Having been in love with one of her childhood friends for years now, Miu has finally taken it upon herself to confess her feelings. Even if he does turn her down, it’s important to shoot your shot!
Her other childhood friend, the playboy brother of her crush, is incredibly supportive throughout, and even helps her trick her crush into going to the movies alone with her. After the movie ends, she builds up the courage to confess her feelings to him… But he literally puts his hands on her mouth as she’s mid-confession, physically blocking her from being able to finish.
To make matters worse, one of his female friends from university makes a sudden appearance, causing Miu to run away. As she’s sobbing on the floor, the playboy brother happens to find her, and takes her out to get some food until she feels better…
We learn at the end though, that this whole encounter was a plan created by the playboy brother. He wanted her to get turned down, and then to have her feelings further hurt! He contacted the female classmate, and gave her instructions to find and strike up a conversation with his brother, knowing it would hurt Miu. Miu doesn’t know any of this though, and only sees him as the kind friend who helped her when she got turned down.

My Thoughts on the Chapter
I love a good complicated relationship, and every single relationship in this chapter is as messy as it gets. Both brothers kind of suck, in my opinion, but I am enjoying reading their story so much! I genuinely can’t wait to see where the story goes from here.
I feel bad for Miu, as she really doesn’t deserve any of this, but man am I invested now.
