Amelia no Koukiteki Romance / アメーリアの好奇的ロマンス – Mini Manga Review

This is a mini review for episode one, part one.

A quick recap

Our protagonist Amelia, is a high school student living her best life. Even though she only just entered high school, she’s already made friends, and she seems to be rather content in her social life. She has a secret though, that not even her closest friends know: she writes romantic reincarnation (isekai) novels.

While her novels have been gaining popularity online, she has been getting a few slightly negative reviews that have been keeping her up at night. What do these review say? That her novels are good, but they lack stimulation, or excitement.

Amelia, not being all that experienced in love, really doesn’t understand how to create a more “stimulating” plot. As this is happening, we are introduced to Amelia’s mysterious and handsome playboy classmate. We only hear rumours about him, such as his having a stomach tattoo, and being with a different girl every night.

When Amelia heads to the school infirmary to take a nap, Amelia happens upon this mysterious classmate secretly making out with a girl.

My Thoughts on the Manga

I found this to be a fantastic introduction to the series! There was a good introduction to our main character, and a sense of mystery was created around this apparent male lead.

The art is beautiful, I found Amelia to be very likable, and I’m excited to follow her along on her book-writing journey.

I do hope that it will be more accessible soon, as I was only able to find it on Comic Days.
