When compared to January, I read a whole lot this February! While not everything was shoujo (I’m rereading Chainsaw Man for example~), I did read a whole of amazing manga this month!
This list isn’t in any particular order, they are just the 5 manga series that I enjoyed the most out of everything I read this month.

The Manga!
Colette Decides to Die

- Genre: Romantasy, Slice of Life
- Volumes: currently there are 2 volumes out in English, with 21 total in Japanese! I have read the first 6 volumes.
Why did this manga make the list?
After reading just the first volume, I knew that I was going to love this series – and I was right! Personally, it took reading the first 2 volumes for me to really fall in love with it, but honestly every single chapter has magic in it, right from chapter 1.
Every volume introduces new characters and storylines at a rate that doesn’t make you feel overwhelmed, but that also doesn’t leave you feeling bored! The author of this manga, Alto Yukimura, become one my favourite mangaka after reading this manga.

Fangs

- Genre: vampire, romance
- Volumes: there are currently 3 volumes out, and I have read the first!
Why did this manga make the list?
I was actually surprised by how much I ended up enjoying this manga! I think that the mangaka did a really good job of depicting both the unique personalities of the two main characters, and their relationship.
Nothing ever felt unnatural (even though it’s a vampire story), and I never found myself really questioning what the characters motivations are. Both of the main characters have their faults, and they feel like characters that could actually exist.

Glasses, With a Chance of Delinquent

- Genre: yankee romance, high-school, slice of life
- Volumes: there is currently 1 volume out in English, 8 in Japanese, and I have read the first 3!
Why did this manga make the list?
I FINALLY got my hands on volumes 4-7 of this series, so I was finally able to read volume 3! I put off reading it, as I knew I would want to continue reading the series if I did…and I was right! Volume 3 actually ends on a big cliffhanger, and I would have been ripping my hair out had I not already had volume 4 in my possession.
This is such a fun story, the first few volumes really focus on establishing our two main characters, and how they came to become close. After this relationship becomes established, it starts to add some external factors! I really enjoy the story-telling in this series, and it’s a nice, non-stressful series that I like to read when I just want something light.

Rosen Blood

- Genre: memory loss, reverse harem, romance
- Volumes: there are 5 volumes out, in both English and Japanese, and I have read the first 3!
Why did this manga make the list?
I LOVE a good gothic romance manga. Rosen blood is full of mystery, romance, and drama. Every volume leaves me with a few answers, and a million new questions, and I love it. Every volume I read leaves me thinking about it for days and days, as the mystery is just so interesting!
We’re fed bits and pieces of information here and there, but we’re never given explicit explanation. We’re expected to be able to figure out things for ourselves, which I actually appreciate! I love it when authors treat readers like we can figure out things for ourselves.

Otaku Vampire’s Love Bite

- Genre: vampire, romantasy, slice of life
- Volumes: There are currently 2 volumes out in English, 7 in Japanese, and I have read 2 of them!
Why did this manga make the list?
While I typically prefer my vampire media to be dark and moody, this one surprised me by how much I enjoyed it! It tip toes the line between lighthearted fun and a little spooky perfectly, and it really draws you in (in my opinion, at least~).
Perhaps it’s because I already know that I really love this mangaka, but I really find myself loving where this story is going. While it’s not a straight up romance, there is a (again, in my opinion~) budding romance happening. There is also the storyline of our FL interacting with the human world and finding her community, and I’m just really enjoying following her around on her journey.
