Author spotlight: Alto Yukimura 幸村アルト

If you know me, you probably know that I’m a little bit annoying with just how much I love the manga “Colette Decides to Die”. I love it so much so, that the mangaka behind it – Alto Yukimura – is one of the rare mangaka of which I will blind buy their new series.

Without question, I know I adore just how she depicts fantastical romance. Her art style also just adds to the fluffiness of her romance. Romance isn’t the only thing that she’s skillfull at writing, as within just the Colette Decides to Die manga, she is able to go from horrifically sad, to hopeful, to romantic, without ever making you feel like it’s too much.

To start, here is a little background info on her as a manga author:

Alto Yukimura is a shoujo romantasy-focuced mangaka born in Kyoto. Her first manga was picked up and published within the Hana to Yume manga magazine, and from there, everything she has published to date has been released in the monthly magazine.
