Did you know Amazon Japan has a whole “read for free” section!? There are so many cute short stories hidden away here, it’s really worth taking a look! Today, I want to introduce one of such manga: 君の声が好きすぎる or, I like your voice too much !

So, let’s talk about this manga!

The story

This is the story of a voice otaku! While our protagonist has a rather difficult time differentiating handsome faces from each other, she has no problem at all describing all of the important qualities that make up a “good” voice.

She has a favourite voice actor, and while she’s a little bit obsessed with them – she owns all his audio books, DVD’s, and even has his voice as her morning alarm – she doesn’t see it as harmful at all, as she’s not obsessing over a person, just a voice.

When she begins her new part time job, she discovers one of the higher-ups in the company has almost exactly the same voice as her bias.

She then becomes a little less than rational, going as far as asking him if she can’t record him saying her name in a variety of situations. While he finds her weird (rightfully so), he also finds her to be amusing, and goes along with her wishes.

This is a love story between a woman who is really obsessed with handsome voices, and a very handsome, but very bored, man.
