I first learnt about this manga through TikTok, and then promptly forgot about it.. When I saw it for sale online, I downloaded a sample to check it out, and I was pleasantly surprised when it looked so familiar! I didn’t look into the story at all before reading it, and I really expected it to be rather angsty based on the cover art, but it was actually a really funny manga!

Info about the manga

You’ll like this manga if you like…
- younger ML romance
- innocent FL x scumbag ML
I borrowed a description from Seishun:
Once you fall for this guy, you can’t get out! Momoka, a 25 year old virgin, is dumped by her boyfriend after she refuses to have sex with him. She gets drunk and wakes up alone in bed with an extremely handsome stranger…!
The start of a cohabitation love story where you’ll be tossed around by a younger guy!
Don’t let the description throw you off, I promise this is a good manga
How many volumes, and other manga
As of right now, there are 2 volumes released! Volume 2 was just released, so I doubt we’ll be seeing volume 3 for a little while.
If you want to try it out before buying, you can download a free sample from Amazon here.
Why I like this manga
The romance in this manga is SO good. The ML is portrayed as a playboy, who will sleep with anyone who asks. Despite this, he’s shown to be an incredibly good person, and even helps out out FL quite a few times. It’s less of a toxic romance, more of an “I know I shouldn’t, but I’m going to anyways~” sort of romance.
The characters

Our FL, Momoka, is a shoujo manga/anima enthusiast. She confides in her ex that her dream is to be princess carried, and refuses to sleep with anyone under they can make her feel like a character in a shoujo manga (honestly so relatable??). Because she has so little experience dating, she is very cautious when around men, finding it difficult to even introduce herself. Despite this, she finds herself desperate for a real romance.
Our ML, Kanae, is a playboy. He’ll kiss anyone, and sleep with anyone. He ends up in Momoka’s bed at the start of the manga due to her drunken shenanigans, but it’s revealed at the end of the volume that they really did only sleep beside each other. Due to his house flooding, he had found himself with nowhere to go, when Momoka decided to let him stay with her until his place is fixed.
Throughout the volume, Momoka tries to teach Kanae about the joys that shoujo media can bring, and he’s completely receptive to it! He reads the manga Momoka recommends to him, and they even have a matching pajama viewing party-date.
Other themes found in this volume that I generally enjoy:
- first love
- jealous bf
- cannonly attractive ml
Is there drama? (we’re generally not a fan of drama)
There is no drama in this volume! We get to see Kanae be jealous, and kind of realise that he likes Momoka, but there really is no drama to be found~
Maddies Ratings
Romance
Literally had me screaming on some pages.
World building
As this is a slice of life romance manga, I feel like making a realistic world isn’t difficult.
Character development
We do see Kanae realise that he does indeed like Momoka, and Momoka feel some kind of way about Kanae, but it’s really too early to judge anything.
Is it entertaining?
Literally I was so sad when I finished this volume, I wanted to read more…
Am I motivated to read the next volume?
I put volume 2 in my cart the second I finished

Have you read Sono Otoko, Numa ni Tsuki yet?
