If this manga were in English…
I’m SO happy to announce that this manga does have an English release now!! It’s called love, that’s an understatement, and the first 3 volumes have been released so far.
How many volumes?
This is volume 3/5, but volume 6 will be coming out shortly (in Japanese)!
I want to try reading it!
You can download a free sample of the Japanese version here, or the English version here!
Summary of Events
Zen and Lisa go on their first official date together – to a summer festival! What would have been a cute date, turned a little bit sour as Zen was called away to help his friends, leaving Lisa alone. Lisa, now alone, bumps into Fumin. What could have been a dangerous situation actually turned sweet, as Lisa seemed to charmed Fumin a little bit.
A little bit further into the story, Lisa and Zen make a pact to see eachother less until Lisa passes her exams. This turns out to be difficult on both of them, and we get to see a sweet reunion between the two of them when it becomes too much to bear.
Lastly, Zen’s friend group plus Lisa have a roasted potato party! It’s a very cute scene where we see how Zen’s group helps the community, and we see most of his friends become more accepting of Lisa.

Who we see in this volume:
Fumin

While Fumin is the leader of the gang opposite to Zen’s, we get to see his cute side in this volume. Even he has a moral code, as he seems to try and be nice to all women he comes across.
We also learn a bit secret about him in this volume – he’s Lisa’s cram school teachers little brother! A.K.A, the little brother of the man she used to be in a one-sided love with.
Zen

While I do think Zen leaving Lisa during the festival was in poor taste, I did like how he went running to find her as soon as it started to rain. It’s clear that Lisa is his main motivator when it comes to being productive in this volume as well.
Lisa

Lisa coming to terms with the fact that she missed Zen and actually when to see him instead of studying was incredibly cute! We also got to see some more of her cool side in this volume, especially when dealing with Fumin.
Maddie’s ratings
Art
The art is still going strong!
Characters
While Zen does some things I don’t absolutely love in this volume, they still feel like realistic actions a teenage boy would make. Lisa can feel a bit more unrealistic at times, but I still love her character.
Romance
There is a bit more romance in this volume compared to the past two!!
Plot
The story is moving more in this volume, in my opinion! We see more of Lisa and Zen working towards their goals, and the introduction of Fumin’s secret came at a good time.

Lastly
I think volume 3 was my favourite volume so far, so I’m excited to read volume 4!!
