On Amazon Japan’s Kindle store, there are a number of manga that can be downloaded for free! Some are only free for a set time, while others can only be read in an internet browser. I am going to recommend my favourite manga that I have been able to download for free, that are not time sensitive.
How I prefer to read manga
As all of the manga I will be covering in this series are electronic, they require some sort of electronic device to be able to read them. While you can read them just in an internet browser, I prefer to read using my iPad. There is a kindle app you can download, and it stores all downloaded manga in a very user friendly way.
Kindle App
I don’t have a kindle, so I’m very grateful that a free kindle app was created!

Above is a sample of my kindle library! As you can see, it sorts manga by series, grouping up volumes together. It also lets you know whether you’ve already read a certain volume yet or not, and you can also download free samples before you buy.
Be careful when purchasing manga on Amazon!
When purchasing manga on the Amazon kindle shop there are often two options: volume, and chapter. If you accidentally buy the fourth chapter instead of the fourth volume, it will create a new group in your kindle library. (You will also have purchased the wrong manga…)
Todays Manga
Today, I will be giving a brief introduction to volume one of the manga: 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy.
This is the main couples first meeting! Isn’t Rishe so cool!?
Important info:
- Genre: fantasy, romance, historical
- Author: Toulon Amekawa
- Artist: Hinoki Kino
- Volumes: 6
- There is an anime adaptation of this manga currently running
A brief synopsis of the story
Rishe, who was originally betrothed to the prince of her country, found herself lost when her engagement was publicly dissolved by the prince. Not only does she suffer embarrassment from this public shaming, she also finds herself disowned by her parents.
Her luck picks up, however, when she herself is picked up by a pack of travelling merchants who take her in and show her a new way of living. She takes pride in her new life, until she finds herself murdered, waking up to the scene of her being publicly broken up with by the prince, 5 years prior.
Thus begins a loop of Rishe living different, fulfilling lives, all ending when she turns 20, always looping back to the dissolution of her engagement. In her current cycle however, she finds herself in an entirely new situation – betrothed to the man who murdered her in her most recent life.

My opinion:
I really enjoyed reading this manga! The MC is a very independent character, who uses skills from her past lives to thrive in her next. There are some tropes often found in regression manga: the prince the MC was originally betrothed to is incompetent, and the women who ensnares him is a typical “can do no harm” commoner with short blond hair.
I did however find it refreshing that the MC finds herself getting engaged to the man who had just killed her in a past life. If my understanding of the timeline is correct, she was murdered, woke up 5 years in the past, met her murderer, and then was proposed to by said murderer all within about 2 hours.
The characters:
While there are quite a few characters introduced, I am only going to talk about the two main characters.
Rishe Irmgard Weitzner

- Our main character!
- Incredibly capable
- High self confidence
- Unbothered
Arnold Hein

- Very mysterious male lead
- A capable knight
- Respectful of Rishe
- Very pretty
